Adjustments

You'll spend about 30 minutes
with Dr. Foster as she explains her diagnosis and
illustrates how she reached her conclusion. She'll go over
the x-rays with you, explain how chiropractic care may be
used to treat your injury, answer any questions you may
have, address all of your concerns, and finally, recommend a
course of treatment for you. Based on the analysis of your
initial examination, your treatment could consist of
chiropractic adjustments, therapies and rehabilitation. You
will receive a written report to take home that summarizes
your specific case and Dr. Foster’s recommendations for
care. After your consultation, Dr. Foster will give you your
first chiropractic adjustment.
During the adjustment process, Dr. Foster will put pressure
on your spine, and other areas to determine which vertebrae
are out of position.
Dr. Foster will make the adjustments to your spine using the
traditional manual technique. In this method, she'll use her
hands and force from her body to help push the vertebrae
back into place. The technique is a pain-free.

After your adjustment, you may receive ice therapy and
electrical stimulation therapy, which is done on a device
commonly referred to as the e-stem machine, and a therapy
table. The e-stem machine consists of four pads that are
strategically placed on the back or injured area to relax
the muscles. The treatment will feel like a relaxing, gentle
massage without the fingers. The e-stem machine and the ice
work together to help reduce any inflammation in the
involved area of your spine, reduce pain symptoms, improve
and maintain mobility of the vertebrae.
